Ogilvy South Africa has been ranked the No. 1 creative agency in the Middle East and Africa at The One Show, crediting work for Audi South Africa, Vaseline South Africa and Volkswagen South Africa.

In an announcement published on Bizcommunity, the agency linked the recognition to campaigns spanning youth culture, social-platform participation and road safety. It also highlighted the role of long-term client-agency partnerships.

“We’re incredibly proud to be recognised as the number one creative agency in our region,” said Pete Case, Ogilvy South Africa’s CEO and creative chairman. Case viewed the result as a signal of the growing global relevance of ideas originating in Africa.

The agency said its Audi work involved engaging younger audiences through culture and platforms such as TikTok.

For Vaseline, Ogilvy South Africa said it collaborated with Ogilvy Singapore on work centred on South African rituals and behaviours, with participation on social platforms forming part of the approach.

The agency also credited Volkswagen South Africa’s Night School, which it described as a road-safety initiative, with contributing to the recognition.
